I heartily dedicated to that person who is with disabilities. I want their same integration in every aspect of life like political, social, economic and cultural life.
It may be any type like physical, mental etc. It may occur in anybody life or may be present from birth time. The basic term you know about disability. How it occurs and all that.
Somebody is disabled by his eyes or leg or ear or sensory or mental anything it can be.
According to Survey of Income, 74 percent of women participants and 90% percent of men participants without disabilities were employed. Comparison with a form of disability, 41% percent of women and 51% percent of men were employed.
If somebody refuses to give car insurance etc due to their disability, it’s totally illegal. There are many benefits provided by government who is unable to work due to a disability. In US, Disability benefit is provided within the category of Supplemental Security Income, and in Canada within the Canada Pension Plan. In India, there are Grant-in-Aid schemes have been started by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. The ministry has initiated the process of amending the Persons with disabilities Act, 1955. The Deendayal Disabled Rehabilitation scheme being implemented by the Ministry, under this scheme, Grant-In-Aid is being provided to non-governmental organization by the Central Goverenment for rehabilitation of persons with disabilities.
In UK, there are various grants scheme is being provided. I am providing the link under this article.
In US, Federal Government provides aid to those with disabilities private foundations provide grant assistance to people seeking disability grants.
Disability.gov is the federal government website in which you can get comprehensive information on disability programs and service in communities nationwide.
You know around 10 percent of the world’s population, or 650 million people, live with disabilities. 8 percent i.e around 400 million people live in poor countries, they are poor, cannot do anything, they do not have resources and they don’t know about government facilities. UNESCO says 90 percent of children with disabilities in developing countries do not attend school.
For resolvment of that illiteracy, we should spread the information of every disabled people about their rights in the social.
We should motivate them in terms of everything, we should not ignore them.
At the end
We should remember the date 3rd December i.e. International day of persons with Disabilities.
Our greatest love and support to those who are disabled.
Thanks for your attention.
Thank you.
