For the second year in a row, First Direct has received the Best Current Account award at the Personal Finance Awards 2011/12. The awards received over 7,000 votes from the public and a panel of experts have decided the final winner.
The J.D. Power and Associates 2011 UK Retail Banking Satisfaction Studymeasured customer satisfaction with banks in the UK based on six factors including problem resolution and product offerings. First Direct was awarded 5 out of 5 and outstripped the average by 85 on a 1,000-point scale4 coming top of the poll for the second year running.
Chief Executive, Mark Mullen commented, ‘It’s fantastic to see that our customers are shouting loud to let the industry know that we’re leading the way in service and banking. It’s been something we’ve worked day and night for since we started and it’s great to win these awards to show we’re still doing it better than the rest.’
