OT5 – Orangutan Tour Pangkalan Bun (5D4N)
Day 1
PANGKALAN BUN – KUMAI – TANJUNG KELUANG – BOAT
Upon arrival at Pangkalan Bun Airport you will be picked up service and board on the boat at kumai river, and cruise up Kumai river head to Java see to visit turtle releasing project at Tanjung keluang ( Suggest take flight in the morning due at the afternoon will be big wave ). The boat is a traditional boat (Klotok) wooden river boat about 17m by 2.5m with roof upper deck. See the turtle breeding process and you have chance to release them on the sea . Back to the boat and cruise back to sekoyer river up to tanjung puting national park. Dinner and Overnight on the boat with comfortable mattress, pillow, fine meals, bottled “mineral” water, mosquito net. Kitchen and simple western style toilet and shower available on boat

Day 2
PONDOK TANGGUY – CAMP LEAKEY – BOAT
After breakfast board the klotok to travel up the river for Pondok Tanguy, the rehabilitation center for orangutans, witness feeding time at 09.00am. Afterward continuing to boat up on tea colored river water where you will see the the magnificent reflection from the vegetation along the river, when lucky with us, the fresh water crocodile and other wildlife attraction could find a long river bank. Upon arrive at Camp Leakey orangutan research and rehabilitation center, take short trekking through tropical rainforest searching for wildlife, birds and other rainforest animals as well as tropical jungle plant. Back to the boat for lunch then witness feeding time at 14.00 pm for orangutan given additional foods. Dinner and Overnight on the boat

Day 3
PESALAT – TANJUNG HARAPAN – BOAT
Early morning is the best time for bird watching, or just enjoy the forest surrounding while enjoy breakfast. join with replantation activities by planting the tropical plant. back to the boat and cruise then cruise down the river visit Tanjung Harapan Rehabilitation Center to witness orangutan feeding time. Boating during night to observe fireflies along nipah palm mangrove, overnight on the boat

Day 4
PESALAT – CAMP LEAKEY – BOAT
After breakfast, visit Pesalat to enjoy the forest surrounding and join with replantation activities by planting the tropical plant. back to the boat and cruise up river to sekoyer river side creek through tea colored water where you will see the the magnificent reflection from the vegetation along the river, when lucky with us, the fresh water crocodile and other wildlife attraction could find a long river bank. Lunch provide on the way. Upon arrival at Camp Leakey take short trek through to the jungle before witness feeding time at 14.00 pm for old rehabilitation orangutan given additional foods. Dinner on the boat. Overnight on the boat

Day 5
PARK – KUMAI – PANGKALAN BUN
reakfast on the boat then cruise down the river back transfer to Kumai and drive to Pangkalan Bun airport for next destination.

That’s one of the ways we are putting on our trips to help the environment. The bottles are not of plastic and are perfect to carry even in cab (100 ML) so you can reuse them in all your trips ! 🙂
